Junior Team 2011

The Home International Competition 2011 was held at Lough Foyle, Coleraine, Northern Ireland over 2 days (1st & 2nd July).  The Welsh team consisited of 4 new caps and the names of the team are
Captain,  Keiran Wood, Tom Dew, Josh Williamson, Richard Jones,
 Adam Davies and Annalise Edwards. 

The first match was fished at Longfields all fish caught were Flounders using Crab, Mackerel and Rag Worm bait.  The results of the first day were:- Scotland and Ireland both with 14 points, Wales with 12 points and England with 10 points.  The second day was fished at Ballykelly Wall using only Crab and Mackerel bait, again only Flounders were caught.  
The positions changed throughout the match with the final result being Scotland winning Gold with 26 points, Wales winning Silver with 22 points, England winning Bronze with 20 points and Ireland winning Dark Bronze with 18 points.
The Welsh Junior Team received a warm welcome from all in Northern Ireland and enjoyed the experience of fishing a Home International competition and made many friends from all of the other teams.
